| I'm looking for a small, lightweight, low magnification scope for my flat top 16" rifle. I'm looking for something not super expensive, but that works good too. Who has experience with the New Lucid scopes? |
| My understanding is Lucid sources from Pacific rim countries––most likely the PRC. I don't own a Lucid RDS as I don't have a need for same but the folks who use them seem to like them well enough. I've been advised that the guy running the show at Lucid is a class act and cares about his product and it's end user. YMMV |

so has anyone done a knock down drag out range test with this optic? Jason was here, on the site, about a year ago. Maybe 18 months. The RDS itself is ok, as far as people who have bought one like it. The 2x magnifiers is threaded on (just something to break) and have critical eye relief. But they seem ok to plink with. Personally, I think the adjustment knobs are too damn big and are asking to get caught on gear. Also it's too damn heavy for a 1x RDS, but again, that is me. You could do an awful lot worse than this RDS, but it would not be on my list of gear I want/need. |

I have about 100 rds through mine and it seems pretty nice. The reticles show up well even on sunny days and it does a great job of holding a zero. The magnifier is o.k., but for what you gain compared to what you lose I don't leave mine on. You certainly can't go wrong with one. Heres a link to the best review I have seen.
