I plan on zeroing my S&W MP15-22 at 25m in a couple of days for an upcoming Appleseed event.  Any idea what rear elevation setting should be used when zeroing at 25yard/meter?  The rear sight is similar to the ones that come standard on Colts with rotating dial (2/3 marking, etc.)

I do know that the front sight is where the elevation is actually adjusted.   I was hoping to zero at 25 and then later use the rear rotating dial to setup for 100yard.  I will likely by using CCI .22lr competiion rounds which I just picked up.  Otherwise, I have some Federal & Remington bulk onhand packs as well.

Thank you in advance.

After researching the trajectory of .22lr, I decided to sight in at 25yards using the "z" mark on the dial which I understand is the 300m/25m zero for standard A2.  It gives me a couple of clicks down and the rest up which helps for the drop off past 50 yards.  The trajectory is only a 0.2" drop between 25 & 50 yard anyhow.  It looks like most .22lr ammo drops about 5.6" out to 100 yard and then a steep drop to 200 yard (about another 20").  I will likely hold over past 50 yards for everything other than 100 yard range.
