Scout or Recon? It looks like the Scout is lighter, but has only one locking lever. Anyone have either one? Thanks.

Scout is for smaller, lighter scopes. Recon is for all (and for heavy) scopes. If you've got a basic 1-4 lightweight scope and you're not planning on getting anything bigger you can get the Scout and be g2g.

I've got a Recon for my Bushnell Elite 6500. I don't think the Scout would have worked at all for it.

I just got one and I love it. Its very solid and well thought out, the two lever one.

These wonderful mounts rely on rail surface area covered by the mounts base rather than number of latches....so one really effective latch will easily get the job done.  That said the insurance policy of having an extra lever is only another $20.   Bottom line both work beautifully and RTZ everytime.

I just now ordered another. I like them better than the "other" brand even though the "other" brand is excellent also.
