I am looking for a good red dot that won't break the bank (< $300).  If anybody has any experience with the Millett DMS, I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

I have one mounted on my Ruger SR556, No problems encountered, I haven't run any obsticle courses with it, so I can't attest to rugedness.

I used one for about a year or so.  It held zero well, the adjustments were repeatable and accurate, and it worked well in general.  The optical clarity was pretty bad and it had a noticeable fisheye at 1x.  The illumination, while fairly bright, flared a bit at higher settings.  Lastly, I felt it was a bit too big for a 1-4x scope.  These nuances annoyed me enough that I sold it off.  Right now I'm using a 2-7x Burris Timberline until I can afford one of the fancier 1-6x, 1.5-5x, or 1.5-8x optics out there (if I buy something else at all).

I've had two.  The first one had mold in it so I got it replaced.  The second one broke when being used on a 450 BM.
