| I'm ready to buy a scope for some longer range target shooting (200-300 yards), and I've decided to keep to a self-imposed spending limit of $400. I'm down to choosing between the Vortex Viper 4-12x40 PA with the BDC reticle, and the Bushnell 3200 Elite (p/n 325154T) with the Mil Dot ret. Each has their pluses and minuses. I like the target turrets of the Bushnell, but it has a long 4.3" eye relief. The Viper's eye relief is 1" shorter. I'm probably choosing more magnification than needed, but my eyes aren't what they used to be, either. Plus, the extra magnification will help me see my shots. I've heard good things about both....so given the $400 limit, which one would you choose? |
| I have avortex viper 6.5-20x and just bought a vortex viper 2-7x. I am pleased with both scopes for the price. SWFA has the 2-7x for $185 OTD and they have the 3.5-10x and 4-12x on sale as well. They are bother well under $400 at SWFA. So, my vote goes to Vortex, all of them are great. |

Even though I reeeeeally wanted to lean towards the Vortex Viper, the Bushy's tactical turrets and mil dot reticle were the deciding factors that won me over. Primary Arms had the lowest price for the Bushnell 325154T at $329. |
