| Any of you guys shoot NTCH with a scope (besides 1-4x)? I mounted my NF 2.5-10x32 on my Noveske Recce, but I need to mount it further forward than almost all the pics I see of other setups with scopes. I am trained NTCH and will not change, being a noob in the scope realm. I like the consistant cheek weld. I have it mounted in a LT 104 mount, but I will be moving it to my LMT 308 whenever that comes. Being a monolithic upper, the mount should not be a problem on that setup correct? |

You may want to check the height of the mount, some might feel it was high on an 308 AR, as it seems you usualy use a lower mount (not sure about the LMT).
I'm a NTCH shooter myself, but have usually ran magnified scopes of 3- 9X+ mounted on uppers with a collapsible stock lower where I was just off the charging handle. When I started using the PRS I got from Victor years ago, I have found I had to run the cheekweld farther back because of the LOP. Well this actually works pretty well becase that's where the adjustable cheek is! I've gotten more comfortable being back more with collapsible stocks as well, when running a variable scope. I just converted my Recon to a 1.8-10 USO from a 3.5X ACOG. Settled right down with it at 1/2 to 3/4 inch off the CH. But with an ACOG and a SOPMOD I'm still at max of 2.5mm off the charging handle. |
