I am about to purchase a new ML3 and was told the mount that comes with it may be too short for a flat top AR.  Have you guys found this to be the case and is that why many people go to other optics mounts or are people swapping mounts for better benefits (i.e. quick removal, pivot, etc.).  I would like to hear suggestions as well as see some setups if you dont mind.  I would prefer to just stick to using what comes with the optic unless its just not useable for an AR flattop.

The last time I bought an ML3, they do not come with any mount whatsoever.  You need to buy one.  I highly recommend buying the tall mount and the optic in a combo deal from www.laruetactical.com and you will save a lot of money.   Most decent mounts are at least $100, so you get a top quality mount for not too much money.

Aimpoint does not list a ML3 and mount package on their price sheet. They do offer some special packages form time to time but most people want to add a nice QD mount like a Bobro, ADM or LaRue.  We have discounted Bobro mount combos available.
