I just recently purchased a aimpoint comp m2 and found out that the reticle dot itself isn't a full clear circle? anyone know why?

I don't recall how the aimpoint looks as I have had very limited experience with it but I had similar issues with a friend's EOTECH, it was always fuzzy to me until my friend told me to focus on the target and not the reticle(I am used to rifle scopes where if you focus on the reticle and the parallex is right both will be clear) Apperently not true with these type of sights... maybe try that?

If you have an astigmatism, your dot will not be round.

eta: You can try and remedy this by using a killflash or maybe doing an absolute co-witness with your irons.

Indoors mine seems a little fuzzy but outside, no matter what setting it's on it's nice and round
