I'm fairly new to the forum and have looked for a thread showing how to remove the standard factory front sight. No luck so far. Any of you forum vets know where I might find a thread dealing with this?

held on by two pins thru the bottom... be sure you are going the correct direction when you pound them out as they are tapered...

On my Bushmaster: with the barrel pointed away from you and looking at the top of the sight, push the pins from the left toward the right. May take alot of force with a punch and hammer.

OK, thanks. I looked at it and thought that's what should be done, but honestly would rather hear it from those who have gone before me.
