| The FTS mount can go either way. I'd like to have it flip away from my face (right handed), but I'm worried about ejected brass or gases fouling or scratching the lense when flipped over. Does anybody have any advice? |

Does anybody have any advice? Never had a problem. My brass does not get slung that far upwards. The lens should also be strong enough to withstand the gas fouling. |

I have mine set to flip to the right too. I don't have a problem with gas fouling or brass hitting the lens, but I do note that I have discoloratation from brass hitting the housing. I tried setting it to flip to the left, but the lock lever on the right protrudes forward and forces the 557 to have to go one rail notch forward, so I switched it back.
