I have a nice, new CMMG 14.7" upper. I loved it online, but I jumped the gun.... It's A2.  I love this upper, but I REALLY wanted a scope mounted. I wanted to do some long range shooting. I thought it was detachable...

What are my options?

Carry handle mount?
New upper receiver? (What does it cost, labor and parts? Any recommendations?


Please help. I REALLY was looking forward to this gun.

carry handle mount.  eotech makes a good one, but there are several others out there.  check midway, i know they have eotech carry handle mounts.

Don't mess around trying to make a carry handle mount work.  Just get a new upper.  Stripped uppers are pretty cheap.

That is what I figured, but I'm no gunsmith and I wondered what it would cost to get my upper replaced, labor-wise.

Is anything wrong with having a carry handle mount on the upper or why us it not good?  Just wondering for future reference.

You want the optics/scope to be kept as close to the bore centerline as possible.
