Does anyone have any experience/opinions on the Springfeild Armory 6X40 Government Model 7.62mm rangefinding scope? I have one that I bought brand new out of a gun shop back in early 2000's, that was just opening up for $169.00. They did not have all of their inventory in the system yet and they just guessed at the price.

Haven't used them, but have a used one coming on an M1A I just bought. They have been discontinued. I believe they originally went for around $350 retail, but SA had a promotion about 6 years ago where if you bought a new rifle, you could get the scope and mount for around $240 extra (ad said it cost dealers about $130 more).

They seem to be going for around $125-200 now.

Yeh, I'm going to either sale it or use it for a 308 build in the future. I'm not real sure because I might just go the 6.8 route instead of the 308. By the way it has some pretty clear glass.

I've got one, the internal level bubble broke loose and spins around every shot, but it's always held it's zero through approx 7k rounds.
