I just received my new Eotech 516 and I immediately put it on my AR. I havent gone outside but I noticed the laser (red dot and circle) seems to be fuzzy. Anyone else with this problem. If its a problem?

I noticed that when I looked at an Eotech at Gander Mtn.

Apparently it goes away if you use it out to 50 yards.

This is common when focusing on the reticle and not the target. Take it outside and try it again & make sure it's not turned up too bright as this causes the reticle to bloom.
HTH, keep us posted!...

Use it on the lowest setting that you can still see.  It should be a faint dot not a glaring dot.  Also, focus on the target and it will make sense.

ETA:  I've used 516 and 556 on duty and not that problem if I keep the volume turned where it should be.

99% of the time this problem is caused by people trying to focus their eyes on the reticle, rather than what the reticle is aiming at. Basically don't look "at" the optic, look through it. There's most likely nothing wrong with the site.

Nothing wrong with it look at your target not the sight. It will become natural to you eventually. I have a 556 Excellent sight.
