and ordered an EOtech. I got an XPS2-0. Pretty good price from SG (with 'club' and $10 off). This will go on my Colt carbine (6721) along with an ARMS BUIS. It still rattles me to think I just spent over $500 to replace the carry handle, but the short sight radius on the carbine + old eyes = crummy accuracy. We'll see how this goes.

When you look at like that, it is disturbing.  I hope you enjoy it.  I've been wanting an Eotech
for a long time but I found a used Aimpoint at a gunshow that I ended up trading some stuff for.
Let us know what you think when it comes in.

You'll like it.

Eotech makes a great sight.

It is easily accurate to 2-3 MOA depending on gun ammo and shooter.  It is easy to see and adjustable to the amount of abient light like hte aimpoint is.

It is light, takes up little room, and does not throw off the balance.

I predict you will be happy

EoTech makes a fine product.  Just make sure you don't turn it up too bright as it starts to bloom and get distorted.  Just make it bright enough to see in your environment you are shooting.  Brighter is not better, especially when shooting paper targets.

If you model of EoTech uses AA batteries, make sure you use the Lithium batteries for it.  They last a lot longer during use and storage.

To get sighted in faster, move the EoTech reticle to match your Iron sights before going to the range.  That will get you on paper at 25 yards most of the time.

You have to shoot EoTechs and Aimpoints with BOTH eyes open.  You don't want to look through it like a scope.  If you are doing it right, you should only have the target in focus with a super-imposed red dot on the target.  If the reticle is clear, you are looking through the red dot like scope and you lose all your peripheral vision.

Enjoy your optic!

Congratulations on purchasing a legitimate, real combat optic worthy of your rifle.

I'm sure you will be satisfied.

As far as the price goes, it is hard for some to accept spending a premium over the price of imported copies or clones. You got over that mental block, but remember it is not unheard of to spend over $1000 on an optic set up.

I have a couple Eotech XPS2-0 models also and I like them, ENJOY!
