I created a new announcement to collect various picture threads. We've got an EOTech thread so far, and the collected reticle pics. If you guys want, we can start more, I'll mark them as "do not archive", and add them to the tacked thread at the top.

PLEASE POST SUGGESTIONS IN THIS THREAD, AND WE'LL HASH IT OUT.

Could we get a thread dedicated to back up iron sights with optics? A lot of guys want to see which sights will fit under their optics and pics from other guys with the same setup  are helpful.  There are some in the BUIS thread, but it isn't a picture thread.

How about a thread on 'Rings' and for 'One-piece mounts'
Maybe...'Show me the sweetest spot to mount your back-up CQB sight'
hmmm
Thanks

I deem your thread to obscure.

Seriously - I think we'll have that covered with the Aimpoint/ACOG/etc. threads that are going to pop up. I'm sure those two alone will have a Zillion replies that should just about cover all the bases.

How about a NF glass thread?  Or would you prefer a premium glass thread to cover several brands?

Yes please - let's do that. Go ahead and start a "PREMIUM OPTICS picture thread".

Seeing as in how we have an Aimpoint, EOTech, Premium, Hunting and Trijicon pic thread I say we need an "other/tactical" catch all for things such as the CQ/T, IOR optics, Leupold 1.5-5Xs, etc.

I think we'll just throw those in with the premium optics thread. There's already an Elcan in there anyway. I'll change the thread description to make sure people know.

Thanks for pointing it out.

I kind of agree with FFMedic and want to preserve JW1069's idea of a Premium/High-end thread. I think that we should have a mid range optics thread as to not clutter up the Premium thread. Otherwise we'll have all optics above $200 in the Premium thread. Digging through pics of Nikon, Bushnell, and Sightron scopes to find a pic of a S&B.... IDK.

I think it'd be nice to have a Budget(<$200), Mid-Range($200-$800), and Premium(>$800) Optics thread.

Fair enough. I'll put in the PREMIUM thread that it should be $1000+ scopes and start a MIDRANGE thread.
