i've handled and looked through the Mark AR. Gave some serious thought to getting it before i decided to go with the DMS-1. The glass is VERY good, and it is the lightest 1-4x20 scope i've seen. The only reason i decided on the DMS-1 is that i love the reticle.

I was considering that Mark AR myself.  Maybe it was just me, but it seemed that I had to re-adjust my cheek weld when I started at the bottom of the mag range and then dialed it up.  If that's the sort of scope you're looking for, you might also want to consider the Weaver V3, the Nikon African and the Sightron Big Sky 1.25-5X.  I got the Sightron.  It's a nice scope.  The DMS is considered by many to be good for the money, but I believe that any of the scopes that I mentioned will have better glass, are smaller and lighter.  They do not, however, have lit reticles.

I looked through a 1.5-4x20 Mark AR the other day at the local shop and really liked the quality for the price.  I am really looking at getting a 3-9x40 Mark AR for my 18".
