Has anyone put this setup on an AR?
Pro's, con's? Any real world user info appreciated. |

I just bought a set to try on a Robinson XCR and two Sig 556's that I have with Samson and Troy rails. Thery work perfectly on both rifles because their rails are a little higher than AR's in relation to the stock. I had been running Magpul cheek risers on all 3 rifles with CTR stocks. I'm really picky about having a tight cheek weld. These sights bring the cheek weld just where I want it. I can stop using the cheek risers now. I had been using standard AR height Troy battle sights. Troy says they're 1/4" lower than the standard battle sights. Also, the rear sight is recessed a bit at the back of the ears so it will fold down flat on rails that don't have the narrow portion at the rear (charging handle area) like AR's do. Now I just need two more sets. I wouldn't recommend them for standard height AR's, though. They'd be too low. They'd be great on a HK 416 or POF, though.
