Looking to get a decent laser range finder for my dad for his birthday. He doesn't do any long range shooting, mostly 200 yds and less. What specs/features should I look for? Anyone have any recommendations?

Bushnell YardagePRO 450 would serve your purposes prob. just right....i have owned several, with not a one having any problems and the price is certainly right for what you get....150 bucks from most places.

I agree. If you won't shoot over 300 yards, get the Bushnell. Very easy to use. Just point, range, and read. You don't need very expensive ones unless you are shooting over 600 yards.
