Will a 50mm objective scope fit on a flat top or will it be to big?

It all depends upon the scope and the mount. Determine the centerline dimension of the scope and the height from base to the centerline of the scope mount. If you plan on putting a BUIS, you need to factor that height, when closed to the clearance of the scope.

I am running a 3.5-10x50 in an LT-104 on my 6.8 SBR until the ACOG arrives.....yes, it works just fine.

Should if ring height is correct. Personally i like the 40mm for better clearance and less lens glare down range.

I asked Larue Tacticle this a month ago and they told me a LT-104 was good up to 56mm objective.
