Where do most of you guys mount your EOTech's on you AR's (close to the rear sight? middle? etc?)

It really doesn't matter where you mount it. On your upper or on your handguard...it's mostly a personal preference!

With models like the 512 that have the buttons on the back, make sure it's far enough in front of your BUIS to allow access. On one of the models with side buttons it probably wouldn't matter.

Forward of my rear BUIS about three inches. Pretty much in the middle of the upper receiver.
12 inch Commando upper, so it balances it out a bit.
