Does anyone know if there are ever any old trijicon or meprolight reflex sights floating around?   I know the tritium will get dimmer after many years and wonder if some are for sale through individuals or companies?

The reason I ask:  I'm planning on making a dedicated 22LR AR15 upper to match my regular 223 upper that has a trijicon reflex sight on it.   I'd like to shoot the same thing on the 22, but without the high price.

I would only be interested in buying one if it was significantly cheaper.  I wouldn't really care if the tritium was completely dead since the fiber optic daylight portion would still work fine.

I had also heard the trijicon doesn't want to recharge them and suggests that customer just buy a new one when they begin to get dim

Post this on the Want to buy EE forums.  I bet you could get a dead reflex for a song and dance...
