I'm curious about some of the quick detachable mounts and their pricing. It seems like someone could produce just the locking mechanism to work with any accessory in place of the screw / bolt. There is a standard for rail geometry so why not make a fastener with the lever on one side and whatever is required on the other in place of the face for the screw / bolt shoulder? This shoulder face is usually the proprietary rail included in the unit. Zero retention is determined from one side like any other mount. With thorough research and development of common optics and accessories on the market, perhaps there would be different specifications of the product. If successful it would be less expensive and probably fly of the shelf.

I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking of this and there may be a reason that it won't work. If someone wants to donate an A.R.M.S or ADM unit, I'll try to figure it out.
