I am planning on buying the Aimpoint Comp M3 and can decide between the standard mount and the cantilever mount.  This will be a patrol rifle for work and no magnifier will be used.  I may buy one down the road and use it to play around with but nothing in the short future.  Can you guys throw some suggestions out on the pros and cons of both?  Also which MOA do you guys like the best, 2 or 4?

I prefer the cantilever mounts - namely the BOBRO models. They allow for more room behind the optic, as well as moving them farther forward on the upper receiver. I like them better than LaRue now. You can get them at Primary Arms.

As far as which dot, smaller/finer is always better in my opinion. Go with the 2MOA.

The arfcom consensus seems to be 2MOA, and Cantilever...

I have a 2MOA ML3, and the standard LT-150 Larue mount, and I am very pleased with it...

Regardless of either choice you will probably want to check out http://www.laruetactical.com

Check out BOBRO, ADM, or WILCOX.
