I purchased two butler creek scope caps (size 14 for the ocular/eye lens and size 02A for the objective lense). The eye cover had a red quick-open tab, but the objective cover (the one on the END of the scope) does not. I've seen photos of objetcive covers that have a quick-release/open tab, but I can't find them listed anywhere.

Are they discontinued? Or are they simply an eye cover that's been put on the objective lens? Or am I just looking in the wrong place?

Thanks and regards...

One of mine is the same as yours.......eye piece has the red button, but the objective cover has none.  I actually prefer them to have none.  On one of my scopes I was able to find a small objective cover (without the red button) to fit on my eye piece.  The red button tends to be the only "weak link" on these covers, so I wouldn't worry about it. the objective cover doesn't have the red piece because it's designed to pop open using your thumb pushing that little tab forward when you grip the handguard. try looking at the scope from the objective side (obviously make sure the gun is not loaded) to simulate having the front cover having a red tab as well and try to press the red tab to open it - pretty awkward isn't it?
