Okey heres my dilemna.I have a Colt 6721 with a detachable carry handle sights. After reading the chopped up carry handle thread i decided to chop mine up to make room for a Eotech 512.It turned out good since i get an absolute co witness with this set up.

Now thanks to this awesome forum , I just had to have an ACOG TA11.As most of you know it came from the factory ready to be mounted to a carry handle.Well since i chopped mine up already it obviously not going to work. Now besides the obvious solution of buying another carry handle. Is there a mount that i can buy so i can use my BUIS for CQ with the TA11?

Thanks in advance to your replies.

Don't need to buy another carry handle, I would never use an ACOG or any scope mounted that high up if I have a choice.  There are tons of ACOG mounts out there, Trijicon's TA51 (twin thumb screw) is very good.  You can get LaRue, GG&G, ADM  mount as well, I have the LT mount on all of my ACOGs.

But if you have to have a fixed  iron sight in conjunction with an ACOG, I guess a carry handle is the only way.  But what a compromise you cut to have the iron sight always available, no cheek weld, high profile, etc.

Good point and it looks like i'll just have to live w/o the BUIS...Thanks.

Mounting directly on the receiver is the way to go
