Ok guys.  I'm putting up a poll.  I need to buy an Aimpoint mount for an ML2.  The choices are a LaRue LT-150 or a Bobro 180.

I have owned, used, and been happy with multiple LaRue mounts.  I'm running their products now.  There's not a damn thing wrong with them.

However, the Bobro design does intrigue me and part of me wants to buy one just for the sake of trying something new.

So, what should I get ARFCOM?  Vote and discuss WITHOUT STARTING A SHITSTORM.  Please, please, please don't let this thread disolve into 12 year old-esque arguing.  They're optic mounts, nothing to get butthurt over.

ETA: First mount to get 75 votes wins.

Hmmm only 8 votes and no replies?  ARFCOM must still be asleep for the most part.

I would say that the added Bobro features aren't really important to me (not saying they aren't good, just that I won't reap any benefits from them...

I voted Larue, because I they make rock solid stuff, stand behind their products and are really involved in the arfcom community...

I voted Larue for two reasons. The free swag and he's a fellow Texan and I like to support locally owned businesses when possible. Oh and the mounts are top of the chain. Now from what I have read the Bobro is an excellent mount as well. There are a lot of good reviews on it. Now if I read right I remember seeing your doing another build, A4 model perhaps, so you should probably go with whatever one you can find cheaper and use the rest for the build.

I thought your newly acquired ML2 came WITH the Larue mount??  Thats why the trade was worth it.  If you got $275 cash in the trade and have to spend $120 on a mount, then the trade wasn't so hot after all.

E.T.A. - I voted for Larue, mostly cuz I have never tried a BOBRO (But I hear good things) and also cuz I like how Mark Larue gets under peoples skin.

It's a first gen LT150 without the lock on the lever.   I'd just be more comfortable with a mount with a locking mechanism on the lever.  I'm going to sell the first gen LT150 on the EE for $75 or so.

I hear ya, so you should end up in the +$200 Net neighborhood......Not to bad I guess.  I will be thinking of you when I pick up my 2nd CompM4 this afternoon.

I mean, I MIGHT just keep the 1st gen 150.  Something about that locking lever just makes me more comfortable when the rifle is being used hard, though.

Very good point.  My guess would be 1 or 2, max.  But what the hell, they're both quality.  I stand by statement of which ever mount hits 75 votes first wins.  LaRue is out to an early lead.
