Which knob (top or side) knob is for windage.  Which know (top or side) is for elevation?  It doesn't say in the instruction booklet or on their step by step instruction online.  I guess this is the most basic thing to know, but I don't know it!

Thanks, Hero.  Thanks Pro2AinPA for the confirmation as well.

It says it in my instruction booklet, page 9.

I don't have my instruction booklet with me, but does it make reference to the "top" or "side" knobs or just "windage" and "elevation".

"The elevation adjustment screw (5) is located on the top of the sight, while the windage adjustment screw (5) is located on the right side."

Verbatim from the manual.

What do you think of the H-1? I'm considering getting one for my build when I finally finish it. I'd like to hear some feedback from some owners.

I like it alot.  I wanted to keep weight down and I also figured it does the same thing as the other Aimpoint red dots.  Which is, create a red dot...  So I never understood and still don't understand the mentality of putting a bigger and heavier Aimpoint red dot over the T1/H1.  Maybe someone can jump in on that one.  I went with the H1 over the T1 for the $50 savings and I don't plan to use or ever have Night Vision Goggles.  I do like the more matte finish of the T1, however.  I have it on a Larue mount.

Here is a picture I just took of it.  I just got the Larue mounted Harris Bi-pod today for the range bench.  I know it doesn't make much sense to put it on a CQC rifle, but it's just for comfort at the range.  I also had to move the Surefire to a weird position because of the bi-pod as well.

Did you buy your H-1 used?  I'm only asking because we carry the entire Aimpoint line and all the H-1's we have gotten in have the same matte finish as the T-1.  The only visual difference is the Aimpoint logo is white on the H-1 and black on the T-1.  Check out our website for pics.  We do all our own photography, so the H-1 you are seeing is a sample of what we have in hand.  The original H-1's were shiny.

As for the sight itself, I'll echo what Slowxturtle is saying.  The Aimpoint Micro series is badass.  They are incredibly fast, light, and robust as hell.  The T-1 is a bit more-so because of the Mil testing it had to pass, but you can't go wrong either way.

I purchased my H-1 about 8 months ago or so, new.  The box says Matte or Matte Black if I remember correctly ( I might be wrong).  Did it used to be a little bit more shiney black about a year ago?  Is there a chance I got a knock off?  I'm pretty sure I didn't based on the photos I see online of the knock offs and real ones.  I would really have liked the true matte finish as it appears on your website.  Amazing website by the way.

I went with the H-1 twice. Both are matte finish. Best sight I've ever owned.

I'd say you don't have to worry about it being a knockoff.  If I remember correctly, Aimpoint switched the H-1 to matte about a year ago because folks were complaining that they didn't like the sheen.

Is the only difference between the T1 and the H1 the night vision capability?

The T-1 has more shock mitigation and is also waterproof to meet mil standards.  And it has 4 NV settings.
