PIcked up a nice used M2 in perfect condition. When I look thru the sight the red dot is perfectly round.

After I shoot a mag thru the rifle, the dot starts to look like two dots, kind of like dumb bell shape.   I'm thinking that my eyesight is starting to go from the recoil or the strain of aiming the Aimpoint ?

After  I 'm done shooting for about 30 minutes and look thru the aimpoint, the dumbell shaped dot  is now back to a normal single dot  so I know it's me and not  the sight.

I have no problem with iron sights or a scope , so this is a bit perplexing ?   Does this ever happen to anyone else using an Aimpoint ?

Yeah, it happens to me too. Looks like a bunch of grapes sometimes.
It's my old tired eyes.

try turning the brightness down a couple of levels and focusing on the target not the dot.  (also  ––  both eyes open)
