Any good? I ask because of the huge difference in price compared to that of Troy or KAC.

I have the rear installed on an M4 type; it is functional as a combat type sight; that said I would not say it was as nice as my Troy. For the money and if you are looking to use it as a backup to an optic I would think you would like it.

Are you going into combat?
Didn't think so. They work just fine. No need to waste more $. They are stout & hold up well. It's the same thing over & over again  As any "new" thing until you see someone in a war using them they are not good enough for civilian GI Joe's.

I have 3 rears.

Ive got 3 sets

One of which saw a Magpul Carbine Class a few weeks back. On an indoor concrete range, onto which my rifle was slammed many times.

They still work fine, and still hold zero.

Buy with confidence

I've got  a set (MBUS) on two of my uppers and I love them. For the price if you are on a budget, you can't go wrong with them.

Regardless of going into combat or not, I want my sights to be durable and reliable on my personal weapons as well, for whatever the situation may be. Most of us Have Matech sights on our issued Weapons, which I really do not care for. I just use a Detachable Carry Handle.

With that being said, I think I'm gonna pick up a Magpul FDE Furniture set and an MBUS for my issued weapon after we reorganize and I get an M4.

Nathan

Edited for Grammer and Spelling.

Respectful half hi-jack:

Price being about the same; Matech or MBUS?  I'm considering both.

Thanks

I like my set of MBUS but I must say as far as looks go, they are fat and ugly. Check out YHM's new quick deploy BUS. They are $149 delivered for the pair from Kevin at Bright Flashlights http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=142&t=142825 I'm going to pick up a pair soon. I have the older YHM's and I like them lots, except for the fact that they don't fold down very low. The new YHM's solve that problem. For the price, they are decent BUIS to consider. I've seen some positive reviews for them here and there....
