First off is there a search function here? I didn't see one

My question is has anyone tried a Magpul MBUS REAR Back Up Iron Sight  with a regular front sight? If so does it work well?

Just sighted in my rifle today. Magpul MBUS, A2 front. I have a post in the build your own about it with a target. Worked great no problems sighting in except me. I posted a target. Under "First 50 yard target".

Did you have a tall (F marked) front sight base or extended front sight post?

I've got a MBUS and new barrel in the mail; trying to figure out if I need to purchase a taller front sight post.

I have a MBUS mounted on my S&W 5.45 upper, behind my vortex strikefire.  I have a standard FSB, I hope things work out ok, I have yet to get a chance to zero the MBUS yet.

Yep, works great for me!
Here is the MBUS not flipped up:
When it is flipped up it co-witnesses perfectly with the Primary Arms M3 clone........

I just got a rear MBUS in the mail yesterday. The material it's made of looks to be at least as durable as as any aluminum parts I've ever seen, but not as strong as steel. Then again, I don't think there are any manufacturers who make solid steel sights.

Does anyone know if the two rear apatures are going to be at the same zero or if there will be some POI shift when changing apatures?

Rear sights are around $55, front sights are $37. http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=MBUS
