Has there been any upgrades to the ML3/M3's in the last couple years? Any reason to buy a new/newer one over an older one?

No. There has been no change in the M3 series sights.

They are crap!!! The Battery dont last 10 years.

Neither do the new ones if you use it at a "visible" setting

Heck, I can't even get batteries to last 10 years sitting in my closet!

I'm thinking of purchasing an ML3....if I get a used one, I don't want buyers remorse after I find out it doesn't do something the new ones do.
