I just got a DPMS Panther Lite 16 with the A1 carry handle.  I intend to zero it in at 100 yards with regular 55gr ammo.  Does anyone know off hand what the sight in distance would be for each additional click down of the front sight post?  I know the A2 sights have this pretty much worked out with the elevation adjustment, but I haven't seen anything for the A1 sight.  Thanks.

I thought the sight in target that came with mine said 1 inch for each click at 100 yards? But I won,t swear to it.

All the information in the manual and on the target is specifically for the A2 sights.  The DPMS Panther Lite 16 has an A1 sight.  The A1 front sight post has five detents per rotation, while the A2 sight, I believe has four per rotation.  So if the threads are the same on the A1 and A2 posts, one detent on the A1 moves the post 20% of the thread width, while one detent on the A2 moves the post 25% of the thread width.

The real problem is my question wasn't real clear.  What I wanted to ask is if I have the sights zeroed at 100 yards, and move the A1 front sight post (the only elevation adjustment on the rifle) one detent, what would be the "new zero" range.  If I use standard 55gr ammo, and had a longer shot, I'd like to know how each click would affect the range of the zero.  Thanks.
