I have the M557 with FTS 3X magnifier. The holosight holds zero extremely well, however the magnifier does not. The FTS base has adjustment screws for windage and elevation to enable you to center the reticle in the magnifier's field of view. It seems to wander of its own accord - especially in terms of elevation - seems like the reticle always creeps towards the top of the FOV. The adjustment screw does not seem to be moving - i.e., backing off due to recoil. The mount has a small amount of play (since the magnifier's base has a quick release lever).
The problem I am observing is not the normal play in the QD attach fitting. Has anyone else experienced any problem like this with the FTS setup? |

Not quite the same problem you're having but...
I had an original 3X FTS magnifier and the mount's adjustment screws were loose. Every time I flipped the magnifier to the side, the loose adjustment screws would allow the reticle to float to the right. I think Eotech solved the problem by designing a magnifier (G23) with the adjustment screws built into the magnifier instead of the mount... |
