I am really looking into purchasing some sort of 1x-?? variable scope and was wondering if a fixed front sight is going to cause problems or is it something that can be gotten used to?

You'll see the front sight at 1X, but not at 4X.
It isn't a problem for me.

So are your cross hairs or dot or whatever type of reticle you have just in line with the front sight post then?

I have a SPARE M4

Rack Grade LMT M4 upper  on  my Bushy lower

I added a
1-3x20mm Weaver scope
Burris AR- PEPR  mount
ARMS 40 BUIS

THE MOUNT WORKS GREAT WITH FIXEDFRONT SIGHT

Also the weaver 1-3x
at 1x is just like looking threw my Aimpoint ML2 or Eotech 551F
I can see the FS in the lower window but it doesnt bother my shooting what so ever

The weaver 1-3x is pretty decent scope for the cheap price   (under 150 bucks)

BTW
For SHTF I rather have a AIMPOINT on a M4 anyday
over any 1-4x  etc!

I bought the Weaver Scope for range use only!
but if my GO TO LMT M4 with aimpoint  ML2 broke down ??
The weaver 1-3x could be used
If one had to

Thanks for the replies. I am not too worried about shtf since this will most likely be going on a dedicated .22 upper.

I'm running a Burris XTR14. The reticule is easy to use and works well with both eyes open. The "Horseshoe" sits above the front sight post.
