This maybe a silly question but I was wondering do Micro Aimpoints have kill flashes? You see most other aimpoints with kill flashes but not with the Micro. This was always in the back of my mind haha finally just wanted an answer.

Thanks for answering. Yea I always wondered if the micro didn't need a kill flash because of the lens coating or for some other reason

Not one made yet to my knowledge. I hope someone does, though. With the unit on, If I point the rifle at a mirror, I can see the little red light on the inside of the sight from the "bad-guy side".

Well they should not see it long before you squeeze the trigger should they?

Don't worry, the red dot they see will help acclimate their eyes to muzzle flash.

Nope!

I'm not saying I'm overly worried about the fact that the light is visible, just saying that it is.

It's so awesome, it doesn't need one.

About a week ago, I emailed the Tenebraex Corporation about their future plans for producing an ARD (or killflash) for the T-1. Here is his reply:

   Hello XXXXX,

We have developed a prototype ARD for that sight however we haven't gone into production because we are waiting for a green light from Aimpoint. I would recommend keeping an eye on our website or contacting Aimpoint in the future to see if the ARD has gone into production.

Best Regards,

Mike

They answered my email quickly. From the reply above, it seems they are eager to go into production. Time will tell.

I have sent off a few emails to Aimpoint on this subject. Probably wouldn't hurt for other folks to send one if your really interested in getting this done. My reason for the ARD is not only covering the red dot signature but also eliminating reflection off of the front lens of the T-1. Reflection off of optic glass can be seen from a long distance during the daytime or nighttime.
