I hear Nightforce has some new FFP glass coming out.

Any word yet on model specifics? The only thing I've seen in the FFP lineup was something like a 5.5-20x50 or some crazy shit.

I'm looking for something to put on an 18" Stealth. I don't need to observe/lob fire into the fucking Death Star from sea level.

Their only FFP model is the 3-15x50mm.  It has been out for about six months.  It is on their website.  It is called the F1.  It is used by Uncle Sam.

If you want a smaller FFP scope, US Optics, S&B, or Hensoldt are your only options.

Rob01 (moderates the Precision Rifles forum) owns the NF F1.  IM him for some direct experience with this scope.

Wow...talk about my being behind the power curve.

Thanks, man. That's a lot closer to what I was looking for. I'll check it out.

Premier Reticles is making a 3-15x50 as well.

If that is the size you're looking for, I also suggest you check out Premier Reticles 3-15x50mm.  When shopping for mine, I chose the Premier because;

1.  More clicks per rev on the elevation knob  (15 mils vs. 6 mils)
2.  Traditional magnification adjustment ring (NF's entire ocular bell turns)
3.  The Premier is a bit shorter (better for an AR platform IMO)
4.  The Premier has fingertip adjustable illumination (NF requires a screwdriver)

These are small details as you can see.  Both scopes are tremendous.

The Premier comes with real lens covers.  The NF comes with a pair of medium rings.  Both are the same price (e-mail Scott at Liberty Optics for the Premier)

IOR has a 2.5-10X FFP scope, though it has no parallax adjustment.

In a perfect world, I'd like a good 3-9x40 or so IR, FFP piece of glass.

For a 5.56mm AR, anything bigger is massive overkill, IMHO. At least for my needs.

The aforementioned Nightforce F1 would be more inline with my as-yet-undecided .308 AR build...

How about the new Super Sniper 3x9x40?  I think it sounds like what you are looking for and it is $600.

Super Sniper 3-9x40 FFP Mil Dot Scope

$600? Unpossible!

I know it's "economy"...but how is the clarity? Anyone tried one?

I don't mind dropping $1,500+ on a good piece of glass. You get what you pay for...with sound suppressors and glass being especially true.

...but if it's rugged and GTG then the $600 price point is very sexy...

Over on SWFA's optic forum, it seems to have good reviews.

how about the new IOR Spartan 2-12 w/bullet drop cam for .308 here

been eyeballing this one for a while now

Well if you desire the finer things . . . how 'bout a 1.8-10x US Optics?  It is FFP and top tier.

I run the 37mm objective version my SPR and find it just about perfect for a precision 5.56mm platform.
