It's got 2 uses that I can think of - raising your rail 3/4" (more than most risers), or mounting something with STANAG mounts on top of a rail.
It doesn't provide any forward offset - it's straight above the rail - and the slot spacing isn't Picatinny spec, for whatever odd reason. It's a solid, well-made piece of gear, but I don't think I've ever actually used mine for anything practical, mostly because I need risers with forward offset. |
