I know next to nothing about these nice scopes
A kid at the range was haveing problems getting his zero When adjusting the scope L or R U or D shouldnt there be a Click? or feel it when adjusting L and R adjustments? all my other scopes do this? Just wanted to rule out a bad scope |
| Leupold makes great scopes. I own four of them. They all have positive adjustment, no audible clicks, but definitely has positive clicks. You don't want the click sound for obvious reasons. Good clear glass, very durable, and has never really left me wanting anything else. |

Depends on the model. The lower end scopes (Rifleman, VXI, Vari-X I, Vari-X II) have friction adjust hunter style turrets (usually coin adjust, not finger adjust), and you just look at the dial as you adjust them. The friction adjusts hold fine, and are very reliable.
As you move up the price range, you have tactile clicks that constrain you to 1/4 or 1/2 MOA per click, which work fine for most shooters. Same adjustments, same amount at a given range, but one you look at the dial, the other you can either look at the dial or count clicks. I have multiple friction-adjust Leupolds and don't do sniper-style click counting, so I look at the dial anyway. |

I just need to know if it made the sound or feel the fricton I could see the sound thing if I was a MIL snipper But as a hunter I dont get it I check zero before going out! I did take a Fall on the ICE I was walking the river checking traps with my bolt action 22mag / weaver 4x I did tighten everything back up when I got home |
