Could anyone recommend a scope (150-200 $ range) that will allow me to shoot 200 yards decently. A friend of mine has a 3X9 and at a 100 yards I found the magnification to be less than sufficient. Were basically just going to be plinking/targeting for fun and was hoping to get something relatively cheap.

Thanks for the help.

I'm about to order this.  Reviews look good and Marsh is a dealer on the board.

He puts out quality products and I own several of them. For the price you can't go wrong.

After ordering my Super Sniper, the fixed 10X might be an option.  I LOVE the 20X for distance.  I also have a Leupold 2.5 - 12X that is around the price range you are talking about.  A friend of mine and I use cheap marlin .22 mags to shoot olives with it.  No joke.  Walmart, which I somewhat dispise, has them for around $200.

Walmart has a bad rep for inferior quality on some products.  Leupold apparently did not get sucked into their (Walmart's) game.  Sorry for the Walmart bashing.  I have gotten burned on several products that I bought from them.  Kinda have a burr in my saddle b/c of it.  Regardless, Leupold is great, and if you are going to spend a little more, the Super Sniper is outstanding.
