Is this sight as rugged as the CompML3? I understand it is 'less waterproof' (can't go as deep), but how does it compare to just taking abuse. I've seen video of people tossing the CompM3 and CompM4 around on gravel and the sight kept is aim. Could I expect the same durability with the CompC3? I don't plan on using NV or swimming much with my rifle but whatever I get with likely take some physical abuse. I'm trying to decide between this and an eotech and this forum has me leaning towards the aimpoint.

Basicly the only differance I have noticed between models is longer battery life and able to go deeper in the water.
I have three ML2's and put a ML3 of my third AR. This week I finished another build and went back to the ML2. The battery life of the ML2 is more than enough. |

I am a LEO and run a comp C3 on my Del-Ton with no issues. I added the flip up lens covers and the rubber sleeve to cover the sight itself for a little extra protection. I figure I am not a frog man so the extra depth that the M version can go was not important. After a couple thousand rounds I am in love with the thing and have had no issues. I also ran an EOTECH for a while but could not argue with the battery life.
In all the Comp C3 will do everything and survive everything you can throw at it or run it in to above water. If you wanna go scuba diving with it you need the M version Oh yea also I use the American Defense QD Mount. |
