I am trying to mount up my Bushnell 6500 2.5-16x42 and originally ordered a P.E.P.R., however I have reconsidered. I have read a lot of threads on this site about the Larue QD-104 and I have seen that a lot of people use the ADM Recon. I also realize that there is a loyal following of each and this may be a touchy subject that has been discussed before. I can get a Recon quickly from a trusted source which is why I am leaning that way. However, I would like to know if it is worth $150. If not I will just suck it up and go with the Larue. Given what I have seen in other forums, some of you will tell me not to even think about it and to just go with Larue... I am fine with that but I would ask that you tell me WHY Larue is the better mount.
I am just too new to AR-15s to simply drop $150+ on a mount without knowing much about them. I would really like to hear from people who have tried both mounts out. |

What is making you reconsider the p.e.p.r.? - Burris keeps pushing by the date back for one. Secondly, I don't know that the gap between the two rings will provide enough room to adjust the scope back and forth. Lastly, it might be nice to have QD with a good return to zero capability. |
