I just acquired a brand new M3 and when it is at full intensity I notice a lot of light reflecting off the very edges of the tube inside.  There also seems to be a line moving from about 10 o clock to 5 o clock (line is thin red...notice at all angles).  At first I thought it was my astigmatism but the photos don't lie:

Am I being overly picky or does this look justifiable for return?

Thanks.

Oh and my 165 dollar S.P.O.T. scope does not do this.  LOL!

That's normal.  You probably wouldn't have that problem at full intensity if you were in a daylight desert / snow environment. Turn it down and go shooting!

Normal.

Try this*: Turn the Aimpoint up to max and look at the sun, you'll observe that  the blooming will go away when the target is bright enough. Then go out and shoot some targets with your remaining good eye.

*Don't, really, I don't want to read about you in GD asking for medical advice cuz you burned out your retina.

OMG!  MY EYES!
OK thanks guys.  Turning down a notch does help.  Just wanted to make sure that is normal.

Thanks.
