| one of my ars has a aimpoint ml2 in a lt150. i want to buy another aimpoint by tomorrow(maybe tonight) to finish my other ar. the ml2/lt150 is great. why should i get a different aimpoint for my second ar? they are both 14.5' guns with entry stocks. i was trying to save 140.00 and get the ml2/lt150 combo again but am interested in the m4s and especially the t1. why should i splurge and get one of those over the ml2? or...why not? |

If you're looking for justification to "upgrade", then both of your alternative choices offer superior battery life (50K hours vs your ML2's 10K) and NV compatability. Beyond that, the T1 offers you a smaller package and lighter weight while the M4 gives you the ability to use AA batteries at the cost of some extra size/weight...
Wanna make your head explode? Throw the C3 into the mix as a third alternative. Get the same 50K hour battery life of the T1/M4, while keeping the same size/weight of your current ML2 - all the while saving a couple hundred $$$... That's if you can deal with only being able to submerge the optic to 5 meters (You punching outta any submarines with your rifles?). You can get a C3 complete with QD mount (ADM or LaRue) for around $465, while the T1 with mount will run around $640 and the M4s around $700... |
| i'm not looking for justification, just asking if i'd be missing out getting another ml2 instead of the t1 or m4s. i don't need nv and i turn off my aimpoint when i'm not using it so battery life will be very long. the t1's size interests me . does the scopes body disappear easier while shooting since it's so tiny? |
