Anyone out there had a chance to try out, or heard about the BSA red dot that has the flash light and the laser attached to it? Thought it was the dumbest thing ever but now I am curious.

i would stay away from bsa
when i was first into guns i bought a bsa laser and red dot for very cheap the red dot would not hold zero at all and the laser broke in two places before i got it mounted (the battery cover and rail mount) one would be better off duct taping a gas station laser to their gun. for a .22lr im sure it would work fine, anything with higher recoil i would not recomend, just be careful with the plastic parts. |
| i bought the laser/light BSA combo on a whim AFTER making sure of the return policy at that store. It's pretty heavy and seems well made. IIRC the "rails" the light and laser mount to are not picatinny. The flashlight was ho-hum, can't really comment on the laser bc i never shot it indoors or at night. the pressure switches (which CANNOT be removed) are the curly kind and are all over the place when you mount the thing. if you want the switches on a VFG (like i did) theres curly wires littering the gun. The turrets are easy to use with gloves on and there is a very positive click as it turns. I really liked the diaphragm covers on the lenses. The one and only time i took it to the range, it fell off even though i hand-tightened the mount pretty well. Overall, it's too heavy for a fighting carbine and the features didn't do it for me. |
| MY buddy used one on his Bushmaster AR, said it was holding zero on that. After I pulled an Eotech off my Cx4 Storm, I threw a BSA red dot on for "in the mean time". It zeroed and still holding, shooting 9mm. But if you can, I would still go with a better optic. |
