I am having issues with my ML3, so try the M3 and maybe it will work out better for you than my ML3 did for me.

My M4 is very bright––so much so that I have to turn it down in most situations.

All my Aimpoints can and do get very bright. I have 1 ea CompM3 (2 MOA), 2 ea CompM4s's and a T-1 Micro. Nothing to worry about, as they can be very bright or very dim, and many levels of intensity in between. It just gets whatever selection that you like and pick.

So you can actually SEE the dot one click from the off setting??? And this is the setting you use for outside work?!!? I can't even see the dot until setting 4 in a DARK room. I keep thinking mine is fine because others have the same experience but then someone says they use the LOWEST setting which I can't even see. I am calling Aimpoint tomorrow.

Sounds like most of these problems can be solved with either a new battery or reading the manufacturers directions.

You are not going to be able to see the dot on ANY model aimpoint untill at least the 4th or 5th setting and thats indoors with a new battery. You need to go higher than that when outdoors.

here is a link that might help
