For gosh sakes, I finally decided on the M3 for my next optic and find a choice of 2 or 4 moa dot.  My first reaction is to go with the 2 moa since a have a millet sp1 with a 3moa dot and I like it better than another brand x red dot with a larger dot.  Is there anything else I should be thinking about here?  Noone carries them around here to compare in person.

Get the 2 MOA, because if you ever decide to throw a 3X magnifier behind it, that would make a 4 MOA dot 12 MOA.

If you never plan  on getting a 3X then either one would be fine.

The 2MOA provides you the most flexibility in that 1) it obscures less of the target when using a magnifier and 2) you can turn up the brightness and bloom the dot if it's too small for you. So, it does everything the 4MOA can do but provides you a more precise AIMing POINT.
And it's not an accurate statement that a 3X magnifier makes the 4MOA turn into 12MOA. A 4MOA dot covers 4" at 100 yards, whether it's under magnification or not.

Thanks..  I think all around I will be happier with the 2 moa
