I'm a lefty and was wondering if the high battery mount would interfere with my field of vision.

You can rotate it so the the windage knob is on either side, so the battery box is not in front of your right eye.
The knobs are marked so either can be used as windage or elevation.

The Comp M3 can is fine for lefty's. just rotate the knob over to the left side. The only downer is that you cannot use the rubber cover when you do that.

I'm left handed. Here's how mine is mounted, and yes the battery box is closest to the camera. The adjustment screws are also marked for mounting either way.
