I have one Colt 16" 5.56 carbine and one 10.5" 6.8mm build.  When I got the Colt, I picked up a great condition Aimpoint and put a Larue PoBoy on it.  The Aimpoint is an 8 MOA but the price was right and I was setting the Colt up for close quarters so it didn't bother me.  Now that I've built this 6.8, I intend on using it more for the close quarters to 100 yards or so and don't really see myself grabbing the colt, so what's the point of the aimpoint and the 8 MOA hurts any distance shooting.  the 6.8 has a small reflex, the iron sights and a close quarter (under 20 yards) laser.

So, I'm frustrated on trying to figure out how to set them up.  I don't like the 8 MOA enough to put it on the 6.8 but I'm not going to take advantage of it on the Colt, I don't imagine.  So do I sell it and pick up a 2 or 4 MOA aimpoint to put on the Colt or do I pick up a tactical scope for the Colt and just forget any close stuff with it?  Ideally, I was thinking a 2 MOA with the magnifier would be a decent setup on it.  What do I do with the short 6.8, save up for a T1, keep the simple reflex knowing I have irons as well?  I hate to not take advantage of the power of it at distance so do I get a QR scope for it instead?

I also have several bolt action rifles (a .270, a 6mm, a 7mm Mag) that I use deer hunting, elk hunting, etc.  I have no intentions to hunt with the Colt, other than varmints, coyotes, etc.  I would consider hunting with the 6.8 if I got it setup tho.
