need a decent 100 yrd scope. want to keep it around 400 bucks. anyone ever heard of using one of these on a a2? got to be better than a standard hunting scope i dont wanna go that route.

No special concerns for an A2 although you'll be best served with a Gooseneck mount. You can mount either on top of your carry handle but the bore offset will be higher.
Other than that, check out one of the many Aimpoint vs. EOTech threads that's been started in the last month or so.

i much prefer Aimpoint to Eotech, whatever the application.

reasons:

killflash
less obstructed sight picture
aesthetics
battery life
more mounting options



edit:  aimpoint w/o a magnifier isn't ideal for 100yds.  i can hit a soda can, but i can't keep 1moa without magnification @ 100yds.  it's fine for hitting a man sized target, but hitting the heart on a deer @ 100yds just isn't a high percentage shot.
