Just received a new sight from LaRue.  My question is at what setting are you supposed to see the dot?  I can't see mine until about the 5th click.  Dot seems a little ragged instead of more like a dot.  Normal?

I think it depends on your lighting situation as well too.  My dot is not a perfect circle, but then again my eyes don't agree with a lot of things....

My CompM2 is the same way. I know mine has the NV settings and yours supposedly does not, so thats strange. As far as the dot goes, my contacts make the dot appear out of round.

Thanks

I have the same problem with multiple red-dot sights including my Burris XTS-135 thanks to my contacts. Put my glasses on, BOOM problem solved.

I have a slight astigmatism, so the dot appears smeared for me at times (dependent on setting/ambient light level).  This may be your issue as well.

As for the power setting, when you start to see the dot is dependent on how well lit your surroundings are.

For indoors daytime I usually have mine at 8.

For outdoors its maximum setting.

The ML3 is the non-NVG model.  The 1st several clicks are for the NV settings, so since you don't have the NVG compatible model - you won't see anything until you get to the visible settings.  Its normal for the "ML" models.

My M3 stays on 8 all the time. I never turn it off.
